Xiaomi Redmi 4A to Release by End of August

Xiaomi has launched a new variant of Xiaomi Redmi 4A in India. This budget smartphone will be available through Mi.com, Flipkart, Amazon India, Tata Cliq, and Paytm from Thursday, August 31.

Now the company has officially brought an improved variant of the Redmi 4A in India. Along with 16GB/32GB of internal storage, there is also a MicroSD card slot for expanding the storage up to 128GB.

The Radmi 4A new variant still has 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display.

Manu Kumar Jain, vice president at Xiaomi and managing director at Xiaomi India, said in a tweet on Monday, "Surprise!" In the camera department, there is a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 5MP front camera with the same f/2.2 aperture. The key highlights of the Redmi 4A are its dual-SIM configuration, 4G VoLTE support, a powerful 3,120mAh battery, 13-megapixel rear camera and IR Blaster support, an infrared technology that can be used as a universal remote to control third-party electronics & appliances like set-top boxes, audio and video equipment, fans, air conditioners or DVD players. Now the phone comes in two RAM models and Storage models. the old variant of Redmi 4A which was launched in March comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage and the new variant of Redmi 4A which was launched today comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. A 5 MP front shooter is present to serve your selfie needs.

Xiaomi now offering a 3GB RAM variant of Redmi 4A at Rs. 6,999, and the Redmi 4 with much better hardware, metal body, and fingerprint scanner retails for just Rs. 6,999.

Clearly, the 3GB RAM, 32GB storage version of the Redmi 4A costs the same as the entry-level model of the Redmi 4. Major connectivity options include 4G, LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Global Positioning System, with a 3,120mAh battery rounding off the spec-sheet. Dimensions of the new Xiaomi smartphone are 139.5×70.4×8.5mm, and it weighs in at 131.5 grams. The phone also runs on MIUI 8 and it will also be updated to MIUI 9. The Redmi 4A is fuelled by 3120mAh Li-ion battery which claims to provide full day backup under heavy usage.
