Gorka: I Resigned Because WH Officials Are Undermining MAGA Platform

The former national security deputy assistant appeared on Fox & Friends on Tuesday, where Brian Kilmeade asked if Gorka was surprised he no longer has a White House job while Gary Cohn and Rex Tillerson got to keep theirs after criticizing the president. But the president reached out to me after I resigned on Saturday.

Trump is a fighter who won't give up, and "sooner or later, the right people are going to be around him", Gorka continued.

"He is sticking to his agenda", Gorka said of Trump.

"And that's exactly what I'm going to do".

"Cohn said during a previous interview the administration "can and must do better in consistently and unequivocally condemning these groups" following Trump's comments on Charlottesville".

"Having been the brunt of them for seven months, I don't like to feed the palace intrigue stories".

"I will allow the words of Gary Cohen and Rex Tillerson to stand for themselves", he said.

Breitbart editor Alex Marlow said last week that under newly returned CEO Steve Bannon, he expected Breitbart to become "more aggressive" against the "globalist wing" of the White House and that the publication would do all it could to "encourage them to leave".

"Regrettably, outside of yourself, the individuals who most embodied and represented the policies that will "Make America Great Again", have been internally countered, systematically removed, or undermined in recent months", Gorka's resignation letter read.

But he questioned whether those around the president in the West Wing will support him.

Gorka reiterated his criticism Monday that the ascendant White House forces oppose Trump's American First or "MAGA" agenda. "We have a massive amount of holdovers who do not agree with this president and don't understand that as a government civil servant, you serve the president and not your own agenda".

"The question is: Are the people around him [Trump] going to support him?" "That's what I think is the source".
