North Korea delays plan to fire missiles toward Guam

As the USA and North Korea traded jabs, many observers began to fear that the two countries might find themselves in a war that Secretary of Defense James Mattis previously said would be "catastrophic" and "tragic on an unbelievable scale".

Fox News reports that Japan lies only about 620 miles to the east of North Korea, which has conducted numerous missile tests this year.

Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, frequently a critic of the president, said he supported his approach to North Korea so far.

Speaking with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov on Tuesday in a phone conversation, China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi said peacefully solving the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula is in the interest of all relevant parties, including China and Russia.
