Aston Villa, Derby County and Middlesbrough had all been linked with a move for the player too, and will undoubtedly be disappointed to see that Ojo has indeed elected to move to Fuhlam.

His development was hampered by a stress fracture in his back last season but Ojo is eager to get a taste of first-team football again and his imminent arrival represents a real coup for Fulham.

Liverpool Echo journalist James Pearce claimed on his personal Twitter account on Tuesday morning that Derby and Aston Villa had also missed out on the England Under-20 global.

The Fulham youngster is 1/2 with Sky Bet to remain at Craven Cottage, while he is marked at 13/8 to join Spurs before the Transfer Window closes.

Ojo's loan move to Fulham seems like a win-win for all parties concerned. Fulham's first two games, against Reading and Norwich, have resulted in draws, and Ojo's attacking threat from the wing is something the club look to need.

He made just two appearances in the Liverpool first team last season, both coming in the FA Cup, and both coming against Plymouth Argyle as the EFL club took the Premier League giants to a replay back in January. He can use his spell at Craven Cottage to prove Klopp wrong, but it will be a hard thing to do with the Liverpool squad already well-stocked in the positions that Ojo plays in.
