Here are your quick and dirty, editorial-free WWE Smackdown Live results for the August 15, 2017, episode.

A couple of weeks ago on SmackDown, Cena was pitted against Shinsuke Nakamura with the victor earning the right to face Mahal for the WWE Championship at SummerSlam.

In a full night of high-intensity action, one contest was of particular interest as Randy Orton took on reigning WWE Champion Jinder Mahal in a rematch of their May bout when Orton lost the belt to Mahal.

Becky Lynch and Nattie will battle it out before Nattie heads to Brooklyn to get her shot at Naomi's SmackDown Women's Title, and I'm sure that our favorite Irish Lass Kicker will try to send Nattie into her title match with one weakened limb. He gave the champion an AA off the top rope and went for the cover. Mahal is expected to defend his title at next Sunday's SummerSlam against Shinsuke Nakamura. Natalya then locks in the sharpshooter for the tap and the win. Corbin thought about it and made his way back to the ring, instructing the referee to start the match.

Smackdown commissioner Shane McMahon was kicked in the face for the second time in a fortnight. Owens tried to superkick Styles, but Styles ducked, and Owens hit Shane.

Will the US Title match at WWE SummerSlam remain a single's encounter between AJ Styles and Kevin Owens or does Shane McMahon have a last-minute curveball in store for us all? Like Damien Sandow and John Cena before him, Baron Corbin has become the third man in WWE history to unsuccessfully cash-in the Money in the Bank contract, which is a surprise to most.
