It is believed that the main motive for the transfer was the desire of the Brazilian to be the sole leader of the club and at Barcelona, playing side-by-side with five-time victor of the "Golden ball" Lionel Messi, Neymar stay always in the background. However, little did they know that as they spoke, an agreement was being reached, and there was no coming back from there. Messi would do everything he could to help Neymar achieve his goal. Spanish paper Sport revealed what Messi told Neymar before his transfer to PSG: " What do you want?

"What do you want? I'll make you the Ballon d'Or".

In the subsequent friendly with Juventus Neymar scored twice with Messi standing aside, while holding off defenders, as the Brazilian completed his dribble before shooting past Gianluigi Buffon.

The larger idea was to let Neymar take all the free kicks and penalties, and to also build a team around him.

Messi tied the knot in Argentina on July 1 and both Alves and Neymar were at the ceremony having a tete-a-tete about meeting up in Ligue 1 for the new season.

But this is now just another anecdote.

He did so in order to give himself the best chance of becoming the world's best player, and was reported to have felt uncomfortable in teammate Messi's shadow.

The prediction by the Big Four firm is based on the spending trends of the biggest clubs to date, which includes the record fee of more than £198m paid by France's Paris Saint Germain (PSG) for the Brazilian footballer Neymar this season.

Neymar's ultimate goal, perhaps, is to be the star, and win the Ballon d'Or someday.
