Well on Tuesday in Miami, former Dolphins cornerback Dimitri Patterson injured two cops while resisting something similar but different. Patterson injured two cops in the process and now finds himself detained on possible charges of battery on a law enforcement officer.

Patterson, 34, is a Miami native who played for six National Football League teams, including the Dolphins in 2012 and 2013.

As Patterson tried to run out of a door, he tackled a female officer, who fell and hit her head, police said.

Patterson played for five teams in nine National Football League seasons, making 20 career starts.

In 2015, he was arrested on a felony abuse charge at a Florida mall. He failed to show for one of the Jets' preseason games in 2014, which led to his suspension and his release.

Patterson appeared in a family court hearing on Tuesday due to a prior incident.

However, according to NBC Miami, he didn't intend to go quietly.
