Jose Duran, the man nailed to the tree, was still conscious - albeit groaning in pain - when an officer finally located him attached to the tree in May.

But eventually he admits that it was two men who nailed him to the tree after a real estate deal gone wrong.

The claim comes with police releasing video of Duran's May ordeal, as they have yet to have find the alleged suspects, purported members of a Ku Klux Klan.

That man quickly ran to get help, and the video, obtained by KRQE, was recorded by one of the men who came to help Duran. In the background an Albuquerque city truck parked is seen parked nearby.

The video shows the man's arms outstretched in a crucifix shape as he tries to free himself from the three-inch nails. He was nailed to a tree a short distance from the road and was screaming for help.

The man, whose hands were bandaged up, claimed at the time that he was the victim of a bad property deal. The officer immediately called for rescue.

Paramedics got him off the tree, and he managed to walk to the ambulance.

'Two people grabbed me and they pulled me to the trees, ' he said in Spanish, according to KOB 4.

Reiterated the victim, 'They took away a lot of papers. All the papers from the court they took, They had guns. "Paramedics are on their way okay", one officer said. This despite no prior attacks having been reported.

'They identified themselves as KKK, ' he said in Spanish. They just re-interviewed the victim and continue to work on this case. Can you guess why...?

Jose Duran had stakes rammed through both hands and was left for dead in the middle of a wooded area in Albuquerque New Mexico.
