Hulu to RuPaul and J.J. Abrams: Shantay, you stay.

In addition to "Queen", Bad Robot is also developing the series "Castle Rock" at Hulu, which is set in the Stephen King multi-verse.

Gary Lennon of Powerplans to write and executive produce, but the real game-changer is JJ Abrams' production company Bad Robot backing the project.

The show will play out more like a dramedy, as it plans to show a fictionalized version of his rise as an '80s club kid in New York City to becoming a worldwide gay icon and prominent drag queen.

RuPaul (aka RuPaul Andre Charles) was born in San Diego in 1960 and studied performing arts in Atlanta before moving to NY, where he became a staple on the nightclub scene. He rocketed to fame after the release of his first single, "Supermodel (You Better Work)". RuPaul, Lennon, World of Wonder, and Bad Robot are repped by CAA. Bad Robot is now under an overall deal at Warner Bros. TV. Still, it is the service fans of Drag Race turn to when binging the show's nine seasons, since Netflix has yet to carry any of RPDR.

Queen reunites RuPaul with World of Wonder, which produces Logo-turned-VH1's Drag Race.
