A man whose body was found by hotel workers in a room late Tuesday afternoon at the Tropicana Casino & Resort in Atlantic City died from an apparent suicide, according to officials. Police were called to the casino around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. Police responded after receiving a 911 call from hotel staff. They say one person is dead and another was taken to Atlanti-Care Regional Medical Center. However, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner would only say this was a death investigation and wouldn't elaborate on how many people are involved. The discovery was made inside a room in the Tropicana Towers.

They'd overstayed their registered time, but staff found the man dead and the woman stabbed, and called police right away. "Our investigators are taking control of the scene, and they are investigating the scene and processing the scene at this point", said Tyner. He did say this appears to be isolated.

He did say the public shouldn't be concerned and what happened is contained to that one room.
