When Santa Clara police officers responded to the report of domestic violence, the woman Brock was dating at the time had "visible facial injuries", per A.J.

Prosecutors declined to move forward with the case because the victim did not want to cooperate, Sean Webby, a spokesman for the district attorney's office, said Wednesday morning. Brock pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Brock was cut from the 49ers one day after he was arrested on domestic violence charges, the Chronicle reported. He has had no tryouts with other teams, though his agent said four teams - including the 49ers - have called to inquire about Brock since Tuesday's dismissal. Jimmie Ward is converting to free safety while the likely starters are second-year player Rashard Robinson and veteran Dontae Johnson. The 49ers also used a third-round pick on a cornerback, Ahkello Witherspoon.

The league might decide to discipline Brock despite charges being dropped, which could impact teams' decision to bring him in.

The April 6 incident was sparked, according to a statement issued by the district attorney's office in June, by a disagreement over what to watch on television.
