Baby swimsuits recalled for choking hazard

Meijer is issuing a recall of an infant swimsuit sold exclusively at the chain due to a potential choking hazard.

According to the company, about 22,246 of the Wave Zone one-piece zip swimsuits have been voluntarily recalled because snaps on the bottom of the suits that could detach.

The snaps on the swimsuits can detach, posing a choking hazard.

The $14 swimsuits were sold between January 1 and July 17.

The affected swimsuits are sizes 0-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-9 months, 12 months, 18 months and 24 months.

Meijer has more than 230 stores across a six state footprint that includes Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Wisconsin. The tracking number located on the label on the inner side seam is "NOV 2016 021-14328". "Wave Zone" and "Made in China" are printed on the inner collars.

The store is offering a full refund to customers for this voluntary recall.
