Sebastian Vettel is in no rush to sign a contract extension with Ferrari, but suggested talks could take place during Formula One's mid-season break.

Both Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen are out of a contract at the end of this season, which is Ferrari's first legitimate chance at winning either championship since 2012.

Vettel now leads the F1 World Drivers' Championship but Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton won the British Grand Prix last time out to cut the gap to a solitary point. In the summer there will be more time because there will be weeks without races, but for the moment we are busy on the track.

"I think time is moving quickly and we have been very busy".

"Overall very positive.I'm really enjoying it, I think it's great to be part of the Ferrari family and as I said we are all focused and determined to get Ferrari back to where it belongs".

"That's our mission, our target, our goal and that's what we are working on".

Hamilton, beaten by now-retired team mate Nico Rosberg to the 2016 title, but victor in Hungary, has not led the championship on his own since last September but has the momentum after a crushing home victory at Silverstone.

"What is delaying? I think the fact that we are working hard from the team's point, my point, I think we have other things to do right now".

"I have to spend time on the track to improve the auto, while a piece of paper does not take long to sign. That has priority. A piece of paper can be signed fairly quickly so that's not a problem".
