He was so excited to get going that he apparently slept on the floor in front of his locker Tuesday night, based on what he shared early Wednesday morning.

Love the enthusiasm, but that can't be good for his back.

You could say Martellus Bennett had an odd way to start the week of training camp.

Bennett chose to sleep in front of his locker at the Packers' facility last night after he was locked out of the team's dorm at St. Norbert's College in De Pere, Wis. "Camp life, Day 1", Bennett said in a video on Instagram.

"Sleeping on the floor actually doesn't bother me, I actually like to sleep on the floor from time to time. I shoulda told somebody I was gonna be getting in late tonight".

He now lives in Chicago and posted on Instagram that he wanted to tuck his daughter into bed before leaving saying "I will always be a father first". McCarthy said he was at Lambeau late in the evening, but didn't notice Bennett sleeping in the locker room. In fact, Bennett - who has made at least $27 million throughout his career, according to Over The Cap, - said he actually enjoys sleeping on the ground every now and then.

"You think ghosts haunting the Packers, though?"

The tight end has chose to go in the locker room of the stadium, located about fifteen minutes from there to spend the night there. "So I need to recruit some other black guys".
