Police say they've arrested the man who allegedly tried to rape four women within four hours earlier this month in Brooklyn.

Police say they do not have details of how the man was arrested, but they say he is the same person seen in footage released in connection to the incidents.

Dennis Ofuoma, 19, of 2041 Washington Ave., has been arrested in the four attacks in Crown Heights that began late July 12 and continued into the next morning.

He was arrested Monday for burglary, sexual abuse and harassment, police said.

Police say the man had committed similar attacks on three other women at nearby buildings between about 11:45 p.m. on July 12 and about 3:30 a.m. on July 13.

Ofuoma is accused of attacking four women over the course of four hours in Crown Heights two weeks ago.

A woman, 32, was followed into an elevator, police said. He held a phone to his head as he followed the 22-year-old victim, which made her think at first he lived in her building, sources said.

He ran away when the victim managed to fight him off.

When the man wrapped his arm around the woman, she fought back and the man again fled. Once it stopped and she stepped off, police said he put his hand over her mouth and attempted to pull her down to the floor, but she screamed, punched and kicked, prompting him to again run off.

Authorities say Ofuema followed four women into their homes and attempted to sexually assault them.

As CBS2's Ali Bauman reported Sunday, the women were all able to fight off the six-foot tall suspect, but police hoped to find him before he struck again.
