Jordi Alba believes Neymar is "really happy" at Barcelona but would not verify Gerard Pique's twitter post staying the Brazilian was staying.

The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, with the French giants reported to be interested in activating his €222m (£ 199m, $257m) release clause to lure him away from the Nou Camp. He added that Neymar shall remain a Barcelona player unless otherwise stated and as per his knowledge the Brazilian is extremely happy at his current club.

He explained: "Neymar? It is not that it irritates me but as an analyst, this investment represents more than €500m over five years". I've not spoken with [Neymar] about this subject.

'I'm not sure if it's positive for the French football economy, if that's the case, ' he told RMC. I don't think it's a joke, I hope not.

Cash-rich PSG are willing to smash the global transfer record to sign the Barcelona star and the deal could eventually cost them as much as £450million. There's a lot of talk about all this, but we're calm about [the situation] in the dressing room. "This is the best club in the world".

But we doubt that he would dare go against the words of the "President", as many Barca fans have taken to calling Pique.

"I don't have to convince anyone of anything. I won't get involved", he added.
