If North Dakota State can keep notching wins over Big Ten competition, who knows, maybe Jim Delany becomes so enamored by capturing the Fargo market that the Bison will eventually get an invite.

"I don't think there's a gap at all", Meyer said at Big Ten Media Days. "That ship has sailed; it's gone".

"I think it's important to note that that company has been artistic, a financial success and a success in separating" the conference from others, Delany said. "Professionally, it changed how we did some business on offense". We've been known in the past to use different forms of motivation, a loss here or there or whatever have you.

"It's in the back of everyone's mind, and whether I'll use that during training camp or not is to be determined", he said. "So we're just pushing forward". Larsen told The Forum of Fargo-Moorhead that the Big Ten will once again allow its members to schedule games with FCS opponents.

"We are never gonna replay that game again", Chryst said.

Their games with Penn State a year ago were epic and paradigm-shifting. "I don't care what the opponent is, what the situation is and just say, 'we are gonna replay that'".

Can Penn State handle the hype?

Earlier in the year, the Nittany Lions were embarrassed 49-10 by MI in Ann Arbor.

"It was such a tough game", Edwards said.

The deal with CBS is for six years and is basketball only. However, a 1-3 record in those games - and a 3-7 record in bowl games overall - left many to question the claim.

Pat Fitzgerald, one of the most respected coaches in the league, continues to fight the good fight at Northwestern, having strung together a pair of 10-win seasons since 2012. But I've coached in the SEC East when that was one of the strongest in the country. In fact, he said the Big Ten East's current competitive situation is every bit as strong as those famously intense SEC East days he was part of during his run at Florida.

For several years now, the BTN has been envied by all other college conferences.

Two teams within Nebraska's division will have new head coaches in 2017. I think that's a special night. "We're here to compete, to win it". But this is a veteran coach that's led some of the top offenses in America. So don't spent a lot of time, energy, thinking about what's being said.

"It's still going to be the Ohio State offense, " Meyer said. Three of those are Big Ten matchups. "I don't feel that at all anymore". Around 10:50 a.m. CT, fans can get group pictures of all 14 coaches and all 42 players in attendance. "You sit and look at the national recruiting rankings and you see the Big Ten everywhere, all over the place, and that's the way it should be".

Wisconsin returns a strong defense and - due to its schedule and its division - probably has as good a shot as nearly any team in the nation to play in a conference title game this year.

Big Ten commissioner Jim Delaney announced that the conference has chose to rethink its policy, just two years after it was announced and one year after it was official.

"Obviously, we weren't at the top a year ago. I was hired to solve problems and that's what we're going to do".

"Fox Sports and ESPN have shared packages in the Pac-12 and the Big 12", Jones said.

"We've worked to mitigate by very early selections".

Delany said executives from CBS will be available to comment at Big Ten Basketball media day in the fall. Indiana's Nick Westbrook represents the Big Ten on the 2017 Biletnikoff Award preseason watch list, while nine students appear on this year's Wuerffel Trophy preseason watch list, including Indiana's Rashard Fant, Iowa's Josey Jewell, Maryland's Adam Greene, Minnesota's Ryan Santoso, Nebraska's Drew Brown, Northwestern's Justin Jackson, Ohio State's Tracy Sprinkle, Penn State's Trace McSorley and Purdue's David Blough. The Network was started as a joint venture between the conference and Fox in 2006 and launched in 2007.

BTN President Mark Silverman also announced the availability of BTN on both Hulu and YouTube TV.
