Injuries Reported After Bus Carrying Tobacco Workers Crashes In Suffield

Authorities say 21 adults were taken to the hospital for evaluations after a bus carrying tobacco farm workers collided head-in with a pickup truck in CT.

A Suffield police dispatcher says emergency workers are responding to the crash that occurred about 5:45 a.m. Tuesday on Route 168 in town.

There were 20 people on the bus and one person in the pickup, according to Chief Art Groux, of Suffield Ambulance.

All of the victims were able to get out of the bus on their own, according to Flynn. Mountain Road is closed from North Stone /South Stone to Phelps Road.
