That purchase turned into quite an investment.

An 18-year-old Orlando woman has a set salary for the rest of her life after winning big off a $1 scratch-off ticket.

Ruz bought her winning ticket from the Publix grocery store at 400 E. Central Boulevard near Lake Eola. She chose annual payments instead of one-time $410,000 lump sum. The prize has a minimum guarantee of twenty years or $520,000 before taxes.

The Florida Lottery announced Joseph Torraco, III, 40, as the latest victor in the $5,000 A WEEK FOR LIFE Scratch-Off game.

The new $1 scratch-off game, $500 a Week For Life, launched on July 3, and features more than $19 million in total cash prizes, including six top prizes of $500 a week for life, the Florida Lottery said.
