Donald Trump still doesn't accept intelligence conclusion on Russia: Scaramucci

But just two full days into Scaramucci's tenure in the top post, the muddled messaging continued Sunday morning, as various Trump allies offered competing opinions on Trump and his legal team's effort to undermine special counsel Robert S. Mueller's Russian Federation investigation, including discussing the question of whether the president can pardon aides, family members and even himself. "He said, but he doesn't have to be pardoned".

Despite once calling the current President a "hack politician" on Fox Business Network and donating to Barack Obama's campaign in 2008, Anthony Scaramucci was named the White House Communications Director Friday, leading to the resignation of press secretary Sean Spicer. "That provision would make no sense if the president could pardon himself".

In a Twitter post on Monday, Trump said, "Republicans have a last chance to do the right thing on Repeal & Replace after years of talking & campaigning on it".

The similarities to President Trump do not stop there.

New White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders indicated the president will sign new legislation imposing sanctions on Russian Federation.

On Aug. 5, 1974, the Office of Legal Counsel in President Richard Nixon's Justice Department concluded the president lacks the authority to pardon himself.

Congressional leaders said Saturday that they had reached agreement on legislation meant to punish Russian Federation for its interference in last year's presidential election and its aggression toward its neighbors, despite objections raised by the administration that it would inappropriately infringe on the president's ability to direct foreign policy.

Privately, White House officials said they saw no politically viable alternative to the president signing the bill.

"He's actually really not that focused on it", Scaramucci said of Russian Federation. He said but he doesn't have to be pardoned. "He was just making the statement about the power of pardons".

Scaramucci then admitted the "somebody" was the president.
