Two bodies were found inside a Seal Beach apartment unit where a man was holed up for almost eight hours and where a woman's disconnected 911 call was possibly made. The emergency call was cut off, and at about the same time, dispatchers received several other calls from nearby residents reporting gunshots.

Two people were found dead inside a Seal Beach apartment following an houslong standoff that came to an end Monday morning.

Police and SWAT officers responded to the apartment building near the intersection of 7th Street and Central Avenue after woman called for help at about 7:20 p.m. Sunday.

Two bloody bodies were found inside a Seal Beach apartment after a desperate woman called police pleading for help and shots were heard being fired, authorities said.

A police SWAT team was on the scene in what was considered a "barricade situation", and using "technology to ensure the safety of officers" while determining whether the suspect and/or victim were inside, Henderson said.

No shots were reported after the initial shots, he said. But a witness heard two explosions and breaking glass after midnight.
