At the forefront of the interested parties have been Chelsea and AC Milan, with both clubs desperate to sign a top-class centre forward this summer.

The Italian striker has been on the lips of Europe's top clubs over the past six months after scoring 40 goals in 74 appearances for mid table Italian club Torino.

That said, Real Madrid appear unwilling to budge from their €90 million asking price, which had Manchester United move on to Romelu Lukaku instead and has soured Chelsea on the chase as well.

Torino striker Andrea Belotti has agreed through his entourage to join AC Milan, but Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed that his club are demanding €80m plus the exchange of M'Baye Niang and Gabriel Paletta.

Spending is set to continue, with Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also on Milan's radar, but Mirabelli insisted further deals will only be done on the club's terms.

"I spoke with Torino and they know we are monitoring Belotti among others".

Having already invested heavily ahead of the upcoming campaign in players such Leonardo Bonucci, Andre Silva and Andrea Conti, this fee may just be that bit too steep for Milan to stomach, but reports in Italy say negotiations are ongoing.

The Milan giants are splashing the cash this summer as they look to put together a squad to challenge for the Serie A title next season.

He signed a contract extension with the Turin-based side last December, tying him down until 2021 and raising his release clause to a staggering 100 million Euro.
