A new pro-Trump ad attacks Mueller's credibility

Donald Trump and some of his allies have been slowly picking away at the independent FBI investigation into Trump's 2016 campaign and its alleged ties to Russian Federation - starting weeks ago when rumors surfaced that Trump was considering firing Robert Mueller, who is leading up the investigation.

White House press secretary Sean Spicer praised President Trump during an interview on Sunday for insinuating there could be recordings of his conversations with former FBI Director James Comey. The president recently admitted to Fox News that he never did in fact tape Comey, he just pretended that he did, implying he was trying to keep Comey honest. If someone is taping without Mr. Trump's knowledge, the USA has bigger problems than presidential trolling. This argument is certainly worn out - as the election was nearly eight months ago - which is why the Great America PAC is spending $400,000 to blast this ad. The ad is narrated by conservative former host Tomi Lahren, who is a senior adviser for the group.

Over the past few days, Trump apologists and allies have stepped up their attacks on the intelligence community and Mueller, a former Federal Bureau of Investigation director who earned an impeccable reputation as a nonpartisan, fair-minded investigator. Then who does Mueller select to help lead the "independent" investigation? "One of them even worked for the Clinton Foundation", she adds.

The ad does not name any of the lawyers in question, nor does it provide any source for where the information is coming from.

Lahren ends the clip with one last message: "Only in Washington could a rigged game like this be called independent". Has America ever had a president so incapable of expressing a coherent thought?
