The Brown County Jail's website describes the charge against Green as "Child Abuse-Intentionally Cause Harm - Cruelty toward Child".

He was released on his own recognizance and ordered to have no contact with his daughter, four other people involved with the incident and anyone under 18.

If convicted, Green could spend more than six years in prison.

Ahman Green, 40, was arrested at his home and taken to Brown County Sheriff's Office's jail, according to Green Bay Press-Gazette. There, the alleged victim said, they were thrown to the ground and up against the cabinets, hit, and physically forced to pick up and put away silverware. Eventually, she fled the house and called the police from a neighbor's house.

She told police she and her father were arguing all day because she wouldn't do the dishes. Green admitted hitting her with an open hand, according to the report. Instead he says he "slapped her upside the head" - and her glasses caused the damage to her face.

Ahman Green is now being held without bail, pending an appearance before a judge to answer to the current felony child abuse charges that have been levied against him.

Deputies recovered a blue sweatshirt that the girl was wearing with two rips on the collar.

Court records state Green and his daughter got into an argument over doing the dishes, Wisconsin's FOX affiliate reports.
