"We have been blessed two times over", the "Lemonade" singer captioned the photo.

Multiple outlets are reporting additional information and going so far as to offer up a birthdate and the sex of the babies.

Beyoncé has given birth to twins, sources close to the singer and her husband, Jay Z, told CNN.

There has been no official confirmation of the birth from Beyonce and Jay-Z themselves. UCLA Medical hospital, where she reportedly gave birth, put up extra security last week, according to Us Weekly.

United States magazine People said: "Bey and Jay are thrilled and have started sharing the news with their family and closest friends". The couple posted the first photographs of new-born Blue Ivy on Tumblr. In 2013, Beyonce revealed she had suffered a miscarriage prior to the arrival of her daughter.

The power couple already have one child, five-year-old Blue Ivy, whom they had after suffering a miscarriage. The babies are expected to be okay as well, ' they add.

Beyonce shows off her growing baby bump with a series of snaps

Beyonce announced in February that she was expecting.

The post seemed to contradict one made by Tina Lawson only one day earlier, in which she wrote in part on Instagram, "God lets things happen in his time not ours!"

Other photos Beyonce posted after her pregnancy announcement showed her swimming under water, reclining on a bed of roses and sitting naked on a floral throne. But we're hoping mama and her babies are doing well.

Apparently, the Carter twins were born on Monday in a Los Angeles hospital and remained confined for almost a week now.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z have yet to release a statement, though, and we'll update this once they do.
