It is now being speculated if this could be the US's first Android One phone, which is in line with earlier rumors pointing to Google's Android One program coming to America. The device looks very identical to recently launched Motorola Moto X4.

The popular smartphone tipster Evleaks Evan Blass has posted an image showing the back side of the Moto X4. Further, the report states that the device will be priced somewhere in the range of $200-$300.

Lenovo has recently launched a new Moto X4 mobile in IFA Berlin.

Lenovo and Google's upcoming smartphone will ship with a 5.2-inch LTPS IPS display that's coated in Corning Gorilla Glass protection. While the original version comes with no branding at the back except for the "M" logo at the centre, the image shared by Blass showed an additional "Android One" printed at the bottom. Google has already brought the Xiaomi Mi A1 smartphone under its Android One 2.0 platform. We know Xiaomi Mi A1 is also basically the same phone as Mi 5X but the only difference is the stock Android experience. Our only potential complaint is that the Moto X4 is not entirely up-to-date in terms of software, as it comes with Android OS 7.1 (Nougat).

So this means that a device that is a part of the Android One Program will be receiving timely updates directly from Google and that too for 2 years. It will receive Android 8.0 Oreo before the end of this year. The aim of the Android One initiative is to bring stock Android experience to budget smartphones. Along with all of this, it should be pointed out that the Moto X4 comes with a fingerprint reader and the IP68 certificate (it is water-proof) and a dual-SIM slot, which are all praiseworthy and offer good value. Both the devices allow you to expand the memory by using a microSD card upto 1TB.

The Moto X4 retails in Europe for €399 (~$480/₹30,750). For the front, the Moto X4 sports a 16-megapixel shooter with f/2.0 lens and front LED flash along with a 4-megapixel adaptive low-light mode. The smartphone is backed by a 3,000mAh battery which as claimed by Motorola delivers a power backup for one single day.
