Several killed, injured in New Mexico library shooting

The Eastern New Mexico News reports that one victim has been taken to Clovis Municipal Airport before being airlifted to Lubbock, Texas.

Multiple people have been killed, as police confront an active shooter situation at the Clovis-Carver Public Library in Clovis, New Mexico, according to local reports.

City officials are planning to hold a briefing later Monday evening.

Clovis Fire Chief Michael Nolen told Fox News that the male suspect was captured fairly quickly, and he now is in state policy custody.

Clovis is an isolated town of 40,000, east of Albuquerque, the biggest city in the predominantly desert state. It's home to Cannon Air Force Base and the nearby community of Portales is home to Eastern New Mexico University.
