With Yakuza 6 released a year ago in Japan, a HD remake of the first game in the series coming out in the U.S. next week, Sega has now announced it's giving Yakuza 2 the same treatment for the PlayStation 4.

For the Japanese release, there will be a limited edition that includes a 3-disc soundtrack and bonus DLC, while die-hard Yakuza fans can look forward to special Yakuza Kiwami 2 Edition PlayStation 4 consoles in both black and white releasing alongside the game.

Hokuto ga Gotoku is the game's title in Japan and will be available for PlayStation 4 sometime in 2018 with no Western release window yet.

The standout announcement that many may see as the largest surprise of the stream is the Fist of The North Star title that is being developed by the Yakuza studio. Similar to the Yakuza 0, the installment before; the Yakuza Kiwami will be released on the PS4 in the countries of North America and Europe.

He will be the lead of the New Yakuza Project, taking over from Kazuma Kiryu. Yakuza titles usually make it here eventually, but the Fist of the North Star game is questionable. United States fans should probably look at importing, as these consoles are unlikely to come stateside.

In other Yakuza-related news Sega has revealed a new character named Ichiban Kasuga, who will appear in Yakuza Online next year.

The game's Japanese name translates as Like A North Star, and in Japan Yakuza is known as Like A Dragon.
