Samsung Galaxy Note 8 with 6GB RAM and 12MP Dual-Camera Announced

The smartphone that comes after the disastrous is expected to be the most expensive Android smartphone priced at almost Euro 1,000 (about Rs 75,000) when it starts to shipments in September.

Putting in a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 pre-order is tempting but some of you will be better off waiting a few more days or maybe even a few more weeks before committing to Samsung's new flagship phone.

Corroborating previous leaks, the Galaxy Note 8 comes with a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED quad HD display with 2960 x 1440 pixel resolution.

As far as specifications are concerned, the Galaxy Note 8 comes in two processor variant, depending on the region, one comes with Snapdragon 835 and another comes with Exynos 8895. The Galaxy Note 8 also features a fingerprint sensor besides the dual camera setup, similar to the one seen on the Galaxy S8. The Galaxy Note 8 comes in three storage options- 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, which is further expandable up to 256GB with a microSD card. One camera has a wide angle lens with an f/1.7 aperture, while the other offers 2x optical zoom and an f/2.8 aperture. Both the cameras have optical image stabilization and on the front, the device has an 8-megapixel camera with the F/1.7 aperture.

Note 8 is backed by a 3300mAh battery with fast charging and wireless charging which delivers up to 22 hours of talk time. Locally the handset will be available in Maple Gold, Midnight Black and Orchid Grey. We believe that Samsung would recover the loss, caused because of Note 7, which was a huge failure.

Each Note 8 will come with Harman AKG earphones as well. Simply hover the S Pen nib over a word on screen and, using Google's translate technology, you'll see the translation hovering above the word.

Preorders begin tomorrow at all major United States carriers and the devices will hit stores on September 15.

The Note 8 is the vehicle for a company hoping to rebound from last year's Note 7 fiasco. It responds to the phrase "Hi, Bixby" and also when the dedicated button for Bixby is held down.

Both the device and the stylus are IP68 certified for water and dust resistance.
