Paradox Interactive and Colossal Order are preparing to make players green with envy in Green Cities, a new expansion for their evergreen city-builder Cities: Skylines.

Cities: Skylines is getting a new expansion called Green Cities, before the end of the year.

Promising "350 new assets" for the main game (including over 200 new buildings), Green Cities looks like it will introduce all kinds of buildings and services to help you tackle pollution. I'd also like to remind you that Cities: Skylines came out over two years ago now, and the amount of love still being put into it is lovely. In line with previous expansions, Paradox will be releasing some content to the base game free of charge.

New specialized options for all city zones, plus leveled-up specializations for the first time.

Announced at Gamescom, this add-on includes 350 new assets that can turn your thriving metropolis into one that also has a responsible carbon footprint with the addition of organic stores, farmer's markets, and various environmentally responsible policies and services.

Green Cities will be released on Windows, MacOS, and Linux PCs later in 2017, priced $12.99.

A flower-crown hat for Chirper. Details about its porting to consoles are scarce at the moment.

At this point, one may wonder, what is going to be the next DLC after Green Cities?
