A kitchen fire damaged Brown's Lobster Pound on Sunday morning and repairs will keep the business closed for at least several weeks, leaving dozens of employees temporarily out of work and seafood lovers without one of the town's signature restaurants. The Seabrook Fire Department responded. "They were there working until the sun came up".

Seabrook fire officials did not immediately have any details on the damage.

The cause of the fire and the damage it left is undetermined at this time, but no injuries are reported.

"I don't believe there was any foul play or anything like that", he said.

The family-owned lobster pound has been located at 407 New Hampshire Route 286 on the MA border since 1950, and has seen several additions since it first opened. A closer look revealed that flames were shooting out of the kitchen, according to manager Bruce Brown II.
