Gamer Sensei made the announcement on Tuesday, as GWENT is in the midst of releasing new cards and features to gamers at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany.

CD PROJEKT RED, creators of The Witcher series of games, announce Thronebreaker, the single player story campaign for GWENT, as well as the GWENT Masters - the official esports series for The Witcher Card Game.

Gamer Sensei provides one-on-one personalized online lessons for players looking to improve at their favorite competitive esports games like League of Legends, DOTA 2, Hearthstone, GWENT, Heroes of the Storm, Overwatch, and more. Facing an imminent foreign invasion, Meve is forced to once again enter the warpath, and sets out on a dark journey of destruction and revenge. The tournament is split into three tiers of Gwent tournaments: Open, Challenger, World Masters.

The Gwent World Masters is a single elimination tournament. Eight Gwent Open tournaments will be held throughout a Gwent Masters series, with each offering $25,000 in prizes. The prize pool for Challengers is $100,000. Participation is based on up to five winners of previous Challenger events, and up to seven players with the most Crown Points in the Pro Ladder accumulated in the series leading up to Gwent World Masters. And then it turned out players were actually spending a whole lot of time playing GWENT, much more than we anticipated. From there, only the best of the best will move on to compete in the GWENT World Masters for a shot at its $250,000 prize pool and the title of the world's first GWENT World Champion.

The Pro Ladder season for Gwent begins September 1, with the first Open tournament kicking off August 25 at gamescom in Cologne, Germany.
