WWE SummerSlam 2017 Matches, Time, Predictions, where to watch Live

Perhaps you've heard on some type of WWE programming, but WWE SummerSlam 2017 is the biggest party of the summer. The PPV, which will take place at the Barclays Center in NY, has eight title matches. New Day just won the titles and will probably win here and hold them a while longer. They now get a chance to win the Raw tag team title from Sheamus and Cesaro. All four men should produce a memorable, chaotic main event that leaves the fans yearning for one-on-one matches going forward. Yet here he is, the WWE World Champion in one of the most prominent matches of the second biggest WWE show of the year.

First up, a few of the title matches.

The Hardy Boyz and Jason Jordan vs. The Miz and his Miztourage: The Miz is as entertaining as anyone in WWE today.

I hate that any title match is on the preshow, especially the Cruiserweight Title.

Naomi's feel-good championship run shows no signs of slowing down and she has yet to face the other women present on the Smackdown roster making her the favorite to win. Carmella and James Ellsworth have also warned the two about the money in the bank briefcase, which can be used by Carmella at any time. The two superstars lost in the previous PPV and are looking to get back in the title race.

Jinder Mahal will defend the WWE title against Shinsuke Nakamura, and I fully expect Nakamura to have a unique entrance.

We are a day early, but on August 21, 1979, Dusty Rhodes won his first world title when he defeated Harley Race to win the NWA crown. Amore will be suspended above the ring inside of a shark cage as part of the match.

Much in the same ilk of Braun Strowman earlier, Natalya's move would be predicated on the fact that she isn't champion when SummerSlam comes to a close.

Not with a potential showdown with Strowman on the horizon, a big-money rematch with Joe a possibility and the end game of a championship clash with Reigns at WrestleMania still to come. And on Sunday, Aug. 20, the show is set to tear the house down with some monstrous matches that will set the tone for the rest of the year. WWE announced this week that they will return to the venue for SummerSlam Weekend in 2018. Expect Shane McMahon to get involved physically in this bout and for the Smackdown commissioner to use his power in order to select and favor either AJ Styles or Kevin Owens to win the match. A triple threat match was scheduled for that episode and it was Styles who won. He wasn't happy with the result as both shoulders were not on the mat.

A special guest referee always equals some type of shenanigans taking place in a match and this will be no different.

Former Shield members Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins finally got on the same page last week, both putting their fists out in solidary.

The supershow card, featuring stars from both Raw and SmackDown, features the culmination of several key rivalries and, in all likelihood, will plant the seeds for several storylines that won't play out entirely until next year's WrestleMania.

On the Raw women's side, Alexa Bliss is defending her title against Sasha Banks. These two will put on a great match, of course, but the real attraction to this one is the resurgence of Finn's "Demon" persona.

As has been the case since SummerSlam originally arrived in Brooklyn, the Kickoff Show will be a two-hour edition that will break down all the matches on the main card.

The Insider Picks team writes about stuff we think you'll like. Which titles would you like to see change hands?

"We were talking about how Trump gave that insane press conference, and then thought about how he's in the WWE Hall of Fame even though Hulk Hogan got kicked out over racism".
