Imaginati has revealed gameplay for Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier, a cinematic adventure game set between the events of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and War for the Planet of the Apes. Now, this series will be making its way over to the realm of video games- United Kingdom based Imaginati Studios has announced Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier.

The Planet of the Apes trilogy prequel trilogy may have concluded this summer but there's still a lot of stories to explore within that universe. "Players will take control of both humans and apes - who, because of the game's standalone story and cast, can live or die based on your decisions - with multiple endings possible depending on their actions on both sides". There's no opening and closing drawers, no searching through inventories. Players won't be given feedback from the game to show you how someone is feeling like a prompt that says "X person will remember that", instead you'll have to invest yourself in the situation and consider how something may affect another character or the story. Those opposing views will supposedly come into play throughout the course of the game as players will be forced to make choices which will inevitably harm one party and help the other.

Imaginati is aiming for realism, and a game that matches the look of the hit films. Lead ape actor Neil Newbon describes the respective human and ape acting teams as "families", even saying there was a certain amount of tension when the two groups met in real life for their first shared scenes.

"Traditionally in video games, the writer is the last person hired", Alltimes said. We're really supportive of what Martin's doing and how he's trying to push this genre in a different direction. You can check out the trailer for it below- the game itself is due out on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
