Kevin-Prince Boateng has agreed with Las Palmas to terminate his contract.

Kevin-Prince Boateng has left Las Palmas by mutual agreement, the LaLiga club have announced.

Boateng signed a three-year contract extension with the Club after scoring 10 goals in the Spanish La Liga last season.

But Las Palmas attributed the 30-year-old's departure to "personal reasons of an irreversible character".

The 3-year-old joined Las Palmas after a hard spell at Germany Club Schalke 04.

He arrived in Spain eager to prove his worth after making just one league start during a second spell with Milan, whom he joined in January 2016 from Bundesliga side Schalke.

Boateng and the president of Las Palmas are expected to appear before the media this week to clarify the situation and explain the reason why the marriage had to be terminated.

The club "wished Boateng good luck for the future in both his sporting and personal life" and thanked him for 'his excellent performances last season which earned him the love and respect of the fans'.
