One person was killed when a semi truck crashed into another semi on I-95 Sunday morning.

Troopers said a man was driving a semi-truck behind another semi-truck on I-95 north at mile marker 223 just before 4:15 a.m. when he rear-ended it.

The crash closed the northbound lanes at State Road 406 for several hours in the Mims area.

The following semi-truck caught on fire and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene, the Highway Patrol said.

According to Sgt. Kim Montes, Public Affairs Officer for the Florida Highway Patrol, the victim has not been able to be identified due to the fire.

The second driver in the accident, Karlissa Williams, 27, of Tallahassee received what troopers described as minor injuries and was released from the hospital. Troopers say he was not wearing a helmet.
