Conte who won the EPL title in his first season in charge of the Blues is wary of surprises this season but believes that six teams will be vying for the title this season.

"They opened up the pitch even more when they had 10 men which put us on the back foot a bit". Pedro has also been ruled out with injury as Antonio Conte revealed in this afternoon's press conference that the Spaniard suffered a knock to his ankle in Sunday's game at Wembley.

The Arsenal manager suggested Conte could bring back some of the host of players who have been loaned out if he wants a bigger squad.

"We have to improve a lot on this aspect because there was the rest of the game to try to do our best".

"For me, Matic is a fantastic player - a real, real top player", said the English defender.

British media reported that the text was not appreciated because it weakened Chelsea's bargaining position after it was made public, but Conte denied there being tension between himself and Roman Abramovich, the club's owner. In a game I feel Chelsea will dominate possession and create a lot of chances, the new number 9 will be hoping to grab a goal or two and get his career off and running in England.

"The situation is clear".

"I think that the coach, the players and referee can make mistakes".

Things are more comfortable on the personal front for Conte, who recently signed a new, improved contract and will have his family - wife Elisabetta and daughter Vittoria - living with him in London this season.

The Champions will of course be looking for three points to kick start their title defence in the best possible manner.

Here he picks his Premier League teams to beat, bolter to watch out for and the clubs set for relegation.

Last season left ambiguous conclusions on the game team Burnley.

While one could argue that these are all quality signings, there is no doubt that Chelsea boasts a weaker squad than last season, following what felt like a fire-sale of players this summer.

Conte added: "There could be an opportunity to start the game for Rudiger because Moses will miss out for one game".

"He's a good player". They're strong and physical.

Chelsea are concerned that they will be unable to sell striker Diego Costa because he has become "too fat", according to the Sun. The Clarets were tipped for relegation but had an awesome home record previous year, they ended up finishing 14th and surprising a lot of people.
