Earlier this week, President Donald Trump responded to information that North Korea may now be able to miniaturize nuclear weapons. -North Korean relations and Americans imprisoned in North Korea, the source said.

Calling it "the responsibility of all", Macron called on the global community to "act in a concerted, firm and effective manner, as it has just done in the (U.N.) Security Council, to bring North Korea back to the path of dialogue". Guam is a United States territory in an area of the Pacific that North Korea has threatened to strike with missiles.

It said the U.S. was ready "along with its allies, to apply the full range of diplomatic, economic and military measures" to end any nuclear threat from the North.

In a call Trump had with President Emmanuel Macron of France, the two discussed the need to confront the increasingly risky situation associated with North Korea's destabilising and escalatory behaviour, according to a White House readout of the call.

Trump also reiterated their mutual commitment to denuclearisation of the Korean Peninsula, it added. "Nobody loves a peaceful solution better than President Trump, that I can tell you".

"All the people are rising up across the country to retaliate against the United States thousands of times", said a newspaper. "This is tragicomedy of its own making".

The prefectures sit in a line between North Korea and Guam.

The paper said, "The powerful revolutionary Paektusan army of the DPRK, capable of fighting any war the US wants, is now on the standby to launch fire into its mainland, waiting for an order of final attack".

The comments came after Trump unleashed a slew of fresh threats against North Korea on Friday, declaring the USA military "locked and loaded".

The phone call with the French President came hours after Trump spoke with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Trump dialed up the rhetoric early Friday, tweeting that the USA military is "locked and loaded, should North Korea act unwisely". China is the North's biggest economic partner and source of aid, but says it alone can't compel Pyongyang to end its nuclear and missile programs.

Macron said France and other UN Security Council members want North Korea to "proceed with the complete, verifiable and irreversible dismantlement of its nuclear and ballistic programmes". If somebody else uttered the exact same words that I uttered, they'd say what a great statement, what a wonderful statement.

He made comments Saturday while visiting his father's tomb in his ancestral hometown of Nagato in western Japan. "Hopefully, it will all work out", he said Friday.

Macron also spoke by phone with US President Donald Trump with the aim of "getting North Korea to conform to its worldwide obligations", his Elysee office said.

Trump's comment prompted North Korea's military to announce that it was considering an attack on the USA territory of Guam.

Cicilline urged the Trump administration to exhaust all diplomatic options before resorting to military force.

"Very strong ones. They are already very strong", he said.
