Portia Woodman scores eighth tries in New Zealand rout

DUBLIN-Magali Harvey sealed Canada's second win of the women's rugby World Cup with a late try in a 15-0 victory over Wales on Sunday.

Hong Kong had no answers for Woodman and the skill and pace of New Zealand, conceding 19 tries in total.

Theresa Fitzpatrick grabbed a brace, while Carla Hohepa, Kelly Brazier, Hazel Tubic, Chelsea Alley, Charmaine McMenamin, Stacey Waaka, Lesley Ketu, Sosoli Talawadua and Kendra Cocksedge also scored in the rout.

Meanwhile, England are 22-8 up against Italy at half-time in the second game of the day.

"Portia Woodman is awesome, she's a sprinter and we're always trying to catch up with her".

New Zealand led 57-0 at the break, unrelenting in the second half to add another 64 points.

Theresa Fitzpatrick was the only other Black Ferns player to cross a few times, while Kendra Cocksedge kicked 13 conversions to go with her try.
