Ex-star happy with his time at Manchester United

Leicester City's triumph two years ago has shown us that any team with the right personnel, management and good luck against injuries, can challenge for and win the title; however, for this season I believe that the victor will come from a group of seven teams which I will tag as the contenders.

Chelsea - The Blues were a powerhouse last season, especially when Antonio Conte changed to a back three - there was simply no looking back. The Toffees sold Romelu Lukaku for 75 million pounds to Manchester United and have invested the money wisely, bringing in Wayne Rooney, Michael Keane, Davy Klaassen, Jordan Pickford and Sandro Ramirez making them one of the teams to look out for this season.

"We were focused on the striker scoring goals, and when it didn't happen we were in trouble".

Rose, 27, wants to win trophies and could quit Spurs for a move to a Premier League rival.

"Do I have to be more of a leader?"

Other eye-catching newcomers include ex-Juventus midfielder Mario Lemina, who played in last season's Champions League final against Real Madrid, and Dutch defender Jairo Riedewald, who is reunited with his former manager Frank de Boer at Crystal Palace.

Chelsea will find it hard to successfully defend the title that Antonio Conte won by seven points in his debut season in England.

"There's no relation between others or a guarantee".

The Red Devils got their hands on the EFL Cup and the Europa League last season, but have not won the Premier League since 2013.

"Bakayoko has not and I saw him in the Champions League a year ago".

It was the inevitable reaction to feeble title challenges that saw Guardiola's City finish 15 points behind the victorious Chelsea side in third place and Mourinho's United drift over the line nine points further south.

"In my initial analysis, coming from January and progressing through the months, I was thinking about four players", Mourinho said.

"Honestly, if you have to give your evaluation, it's right not to put Chelsea to be a favourite", said Conte.

"I think the [Matic] sale at this moment in time, with that Chelsea squad, could cost them the league".

"He's injured, he needs time to recover".
