Directed by Bejoy Nambiar, Solo is an anthology film and also stars Deepti Sati, Sai Dhanshika, Sruthi Hariharan and Dino Morea among others. Besides the duo, it will star Irrfan Khan, although the character details of all of them are now kept under wraps.

Initially, Abhishek Bachchan was chosen for this role, but had to reject the offer because the dates of this film clashed with that of JP Dutta's Paltan. A source close to the project revealed to a leading daily that the movie is a light-hearted entertainer and will show Dulquer and Irrfan as friends on a road trip.

The film marks the directorial debut of Akarsh Khurana, who has co-written the script with Hussain Dalal, the dialogue writer for Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and 2 States. Mithila Palkar, who is popular for her work in web series like Girl In The City and Little Things, has been roped in to play the female lead.

Now, speculations are rife regarding his big debut in Bollywood. However, he didn't get much success in his Bollywood innings. Let's hope that the son has better luck.

Malayalam star Dulquer Salmaan aka DQ, is all set to act in a Hindi movie and add a new dimension to his career. Then there are also Parava, directed by Soubin Shahir and a movie with Anjali Menon.

The film is expected to release later this year in Malayalam and Tamil.
