"It was indeed dreadfully sad, and she is a huge loss to the country. They get to decide whether I divorce".

Princess Diana in a Catherine Walker dress and jacket dress embroidered with sequins and pearls, known as the "Elvis Dress", on an official visit to Hong Kong in 1989. We feel we at least owe her 20 years on to stand up for her name and remind everybody of the character and person that she was.

One major issue in the divorce process was Diana's right to maintain the royal title "princess of Wales", without which she would lose any connection to the royal family and would have to curtsey to her ex-husband and their sons, the princes William and Harry.

All this was revealed in Andrew Morton's "Diana: Her True Story", which is being republished with a transcript of "secret tapes" that contain audio recordings from the princess herself.

He told The Mirror: 'There seems to be no thought for her family who would find this incredibly upsetting that sick ghouls would be visiting this disturbing piece of history'.

The gift was "the most magnificent" the royal received for her nuptials, author Leslie Field claimed in her 1987 book The Queen's Jewels.

Prince Charles first comment upon seeing Prince Harry for the first time was reported to be "Oh God, it's a boy". "My mother had just died and I had to walk a long way behind her coffin surrounded by thousands of people watching me while millions more did on television", Harry told Newsweek magazine in an interview published last month.

"I think that what you might call Britain's stiff upper lip brigade ended with the funeral. I don't think it would happen today". He credited William with encouraging him to get counseling to deal with his grief.

Executive produced by Alison Kirkham (Controller of Factual Commissioning BBC Content) and Peter Dale for the BBC, "Diana" was produced by Jenny Saunders, co-produced by Jessica Ludgrove and Singer.

"I admired and respected her - for her energy and commitment to others, and especially for her devotion to her two boys". It is the first and only time her two sons, Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, and Prince Harry, have sat for on-camera interviews about that week. NBC will premiere the documentary Friday, Sept. 1, the day after the anniversary of her death on August 31.

So, when Prince William proposed to his girlfriend of seven years, Prince Harry humbly gave up the ring for Duchess Kate to wear.

"She said they had a committee or an adviser or something, and said, "it's seen to be racist to have gollies".
