Destiny 2 will launch with more than 50 hours of story content

The number above comes from the latest edition of Edge Magazine, issue 310, where a cover story discussed numerous details being implemented in Destiny 2. One of the most relieving bits of information is that the story is expected to be much more coherent and engaging than Destiny 1's. According to Edge Magazine, "in total there are over 80 missions and activities in Destiny 2, and each is substantial - in length, challenge, story and reward". There is actually so much new content that at one point the development team realized that they had more content than progression, even if they fixed that afterwards.

Furthermore, it was revealed that players won't be able to to take too much time during Destiny 2's Nightfall Strikes, as there will be a time limit implemented.

Supers and grenades were also mentioned, and whilst they recharge faster than the beta, it seems we'll be encouraged to recharge them more quickly through aggressive play: an example given was a Warlock exotic chest that lets you hover in the air (sounding a little like Empyrrean Bellicose) where kills whilst hovering will quickly recharge your grenade. Once the game officially releases, the elemental shields will blow up once they're depleted, blasting and damaging any enemies who happen to be in a certain radius nearby.

Not only that, but it sounds like Destiny 2 will launch with a much greater volume of content as well.

Destiny 2 is shaping up to offer a huge amount of mission possibilities with over 80 PvE quests to be completed.
