As she's moved away from walking runway shows and continued amassing red carpet premieres to attend, the 25-year-old has become known for her masculine, often comedic approach toward dressing, making her a best-dressed favorite for many.

And Cara Delevingne has admitted her superstar status has made her feel "conscious" about how she carries herself in the spotlight, especially as her own teenage years were particularly trying.

'That was the biggest lesson I had to learn: to communicate my emotions properly. "I'm still learning how to do that", she explains. "I want to make sure that kids realize that emotions and vulnerability are important and should be spoken about", she continues. Just having girls message me being like, "I'm really dealing with the pressure of my thoughts, my friends, eating disorders".

"I've always had this wonderful connection with teenagers".

Detailing the message she wants readers to take away from the novel, Cara expressed: 'That life is a lovely mixture of wonderful disaster, but to truly love yourself is so important'.

For Delevingne, being a role model is an important thing for her because she wants kids to have someone to look up to.

On being a positive role model: "When you're a teenager you're all looking for someone to idolise". This is something that I wanted to do for other people, but honestly it was for myself too. We all had to do creative writing and English, but I didn't enjoy it as much because I felt forced.
