Anambra Guber: APC Clears All 12 Candidates Ahead Of Primaries

Ondo state deputy governor and chairman of the screening panel, Agboola Ajayi, said yesterday in Abuja that all the 12 aspirants were eligible to contest the governorship primary.

According to Uba, "we have all signed an undertaking to support whoever will at the primary", he said.

While commending the aspirants for their doggedness and determination, Ajayi said all the aspirants compiled with the guidelines and signed an undertaking form to support whoever emerges candidate of the party.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has cleared six aspirants and disqualified one, as part of preparations for its primary poll ahead of the November 18 governorship election in Anambra State.

He also commended the aspirants saying "so far we have not recieve any report of violence among all the aspirants".

He added that the incumbent "must pack his load and go because APC must win Anambra".

Addressing newsmen at the party's national secretariat on Friday in Abuja, on the outcome of the screening exercise carried out ‎yesterday, chairman of the screening committee and ex-minister of Police Affairs, Adamu Maina Waziri said the committee was fair and just.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Saturday cleared all the 12 aspirants to participate in the Anambra State governorship primary.

He said the committee gave Oseloka Obaze, former Secretary of Anambra State, a conditional clearance, pending his full compliance with the provisions of the party.
