Audi has expanded the Q2 range with the addition of a new all-wheel-drive petrol option, using a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine. Offered as an alternative to the 150PS 2.0 TDI quattro model which was introduced late previous year, the new Q2 2.0 TFSI quattro 190PS S tronic is now available in S line and Edition #1 specification.

It produces the highest power output now available in a Q2, giving acceleration to 62mph from rest in 6.5 seconds - the fastest sprint time in the range. 187bhp is sent to the all-wheel-drive system via a seven-speed S tronic gearbox, meaning 0-62mph in 6.5 seconds and a top speed of 141mph.

Fuel consumption for the S line is claimed at 44.8mpg on a combined run, producing Carbon dioxide emissions of 144g/km, and the Edition 1 model comes in at 44.2mpg and 146g/km.

The new drivetrain is available only on high spec S line and Edition #1 cars.

"But even the S Line version gets 18" alloys, LED headlights, Front Sports Seats, MMI Nav, Audi Connect Infotainment and auto lights and wipers.

An altogether more impactful specification extends to the Edition #1 - a unique model in its own right. Brilliant black C-pillar blades featuring the Audi rings complete the look.

On the inside the new models are furnished with leather sports seats, a multi-coloured LED interior lighting pack, and floor mats also sporting brown contrast stitching.
