Overwatch PTR Update Buffs Junkrat, Roadhog, Orisa and Widowmaker

Blizzard Entertainment is not just introducing new deathmatch game modes to Overwatch via a Public Test Region (PTR) update Thursday. By taking less damage and being able to move while healing, this buff might put Roadhog back into relevance, as he will be assuredly more hard to kill.

"RIP-Tire's damage has always been very good, but it was often hard to steer the tire into position before it was destroyed".

In regards to Orisa, her Fusion Driver projectile speed has been increased by 20%, and the barrier size of her Protective Barrier has also been increased by 20%, with the shape changed to allow coverage from enemies below the barrier too.

"Currently, we have been play testing Roadhog with -50% damage taken while using Take a Breather, and also allowing him to move at full speed while inhaling", Kaplan said on the official Overwatch forums. Finally, Widowmaker's grappling hook is now on an 8 second cooldown instead of 12 and enemies hit by Venom Mine are visible through walls (but only for the player). Junkrat and Orisa are receiving encouraging feedback from fans in the comments of the PTR patch notes and in the Overwatch Reddit.

Developer Comments: Over the past few months, we've been working on a number of significant under-the-hood changes that will help us streamline the patching process.
