The monthly packs are now nearly the same across these companies, which ultimately leaves a user wondering if there is any point to switch to Jio.

Dubbed as "Super Hours", the operator is offering unlimited Vodafone to Vodafone local calls and unlimited 4G/3G data for one hour. Adding to this, Vodafone has launched two more packs for its users. The "Super Hour" plan has been introduced by the company starting at Rs 7 and it offers a wide variety of offers that just can't be ignored.

"1 hour duration will be based from the time the pack is made active in Vodafone systems for all packs", Vodafone India said on its app - My Vodafone.

The Rs 7 pack offers only unlimited calling within the company's network. This particular scheme is not applicable in Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Chhatisgarh. "The subscriber may contact the customer care regarding any queries, complaints, disputes pertaining to the Offer". However, the postpaid users can activate the plan by dialing the respective company's USSD. Not a lot of telecom companies have hourly plans like these, which give an edge to Vodafone India.

Idea Cellular and Aircel have their hourly plans for unlimited internet. Then there is Rs 21 pack, which offers unlimited 4G/3G data for one hour. Moreover, Idea is prevalent mostly in states like Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Goa. Vodafone SuperHour packs are also available for unlimited talking for 1 hour...

Airtel and Reliance Jio have not bothered to enter this domain, but super hour packs can be pretty useful if you want to stream your favourite show, download a movie and some songs or video call someone across the globe.

It is important to note here is that data benefits are only applicable for 4G handsets, and if you have a non-4G device, then you will only get 50MB of free data.
