STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI Gets A Ton Of New Photos

The story includes hints about new planets and new characters, but you don't need to care about any of that because there is an adorable new Star Wars alien called the porg that will turn you straight into Veruca Salt because they are the cutest things I have seen in my entire life, seriously daddy, I want a porg and I want one now! .

As part of EW's Fall Movie Preview issue they have released some brand new photos including two cover issues for the biggest anticipated film this year, the next chapter in the Skywalker saga: Star Wars: The Last Jedi. (You can get another look at them in the Last Jedi sizzle reel.) They were inspired by the puffins that Johnson found on the tiny Irish island that stands in for Ahch-To, and like the puffins, they apparently go absolutely everywhere.

This isn't everything. It looks like EW will be dropping Star Wars stuff on us all day, so buckle up. The film's director, Rian Johnson, spoke with the outlet about the new creatures. I'll try to keep up with it while pushing aside movies like this. "Neal Scanlan's crew designed them, and costume designer Michael Kaplan made these working clothes that also reflected sort of a nun-like, spartan sort of existence". "And that guy is just a force of nature".

Check out the Porgs in the first image below, and the Caretakers in the image that follows.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi opens in regular and IMAX theaters on December 15, 2017.
