While Lonzo Ball's shoe saga took most of the publicity during the summer, Smith Jr.'s shoe decision flew under the radar. Under Armour may be feeling the same way.

Dennis Smith Jr and Under Armour have agreed to a three-year, $6 million footwear and apparel contract, according to ESPN. The Baltimore-based company plans to incorporate him as one of its key players.

Earlier this year, Under Armour also signed fellow rookie Josh Jackson of the Phoenix Suns.

Smith Jr, the ninth pick in June's draft, averaged 17.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists at Summer League. His play earned his All-Summer League first team honors.

He joins two-time MVP Stephen Curry and Arlington Grace Prep alum Emmanuel Mudiay on the National Basketball Association roster at Under Armour. The company also has endorsement deals across the sports spectrum with Highland Park native and three-time Cy Young Award victor Clayton Kershaw, Masters Champ and Dallas Jesuit alum Jordan Spieth, National League MVP Bryce Harper and NFL MVP's Tom Brady and Cam Newton.

"Seth was able to spend some time with him, and Seth was telling me how good of a person he is", Kris Stone, UA's Basketball Sports Marketing Director, said.
